0:00 · Start with what needs you
Welcome to PalWest. Let’s walk through a contractor’s day. Home opens on Needs attention, with West’s offer to draft the follow-ups. Money at a glance and the visits for today and tomorrow sit beside it, so you know where to start.
0:14 · Keep the client context
Before the next call, open Clients. The summary line counts who has active work and who has unpaid invoices, and the filters narrow the list. Open a client to find their contact details, properties, notes, and project history.
0:29 · Prepare the next quote
Quotes is where an inquiry becomes a proposal. The summary line shows drafts, sent, and accepted quotes at a glance. Open one to build the scope and line items, check the prices, and preview the quote before you send it to your client.
0:45 · Follow the work on the Kanban
Once the client says yes, Projects keeps the work moving. Switch to Kanban to see every project by stage, from inquiry to final payment, and drag a card when the work moves on. Search and filters find the project you need.
1:00 · Open the project record
Each project record leads with what the crew needs: the address, gate code, on-site contact, and today’s crew. One main action sits at the top, here Mark work done. Four tabs hold the rest: Overview, Work, Money, and Files and notes.
1:17 · Make the next step visible
Tasks turns a project into clear next steps. Each task has its project, an assignee, a due date, and a status. Use the summary line or the filters to focus on what needs a follow-up, and mark a task complete when it’s done.
1:32 · See the scheduled work
Calendar puts projects, visits, tasks, and time off on one timeline. Switch between day, week, and month. Use Filters to show one kind of work or one technician, and Schedule visit when a client needs someone on site.
1:48 · See the work on the map
Map adds location to the picture. Turn on projects, client properties, and your service area, then search an address or a client before planning a visit. Now the client, the scope, the next tasks, and the location are connected.
Try the same approach on your next project.
Start with a client and a project you know. Put the details in West, prepare the next quote or task, and review the result.
